Recycling millions of plastic
bottle lids into skateboard decks
PLANET
We’ve all seen the devastation that small plastic waste is causing our planet.
There is no single ecosystem, body of water or species left on earth today that isn’t affected by microplastic.
The problem is endless…
PRODUCTS
We love the planet as much as we love skateboarding, so we’ve devised an innovative way to close the loop on small plastic waste by repurposing millions of plastic bottle lids into premium recycled plastic products, starting with skateboard decks.
The benefits are endless…
PURPOSE
Our social enterprise will have a robust ethical focus. It will employ people with disabilities, donate profits to local charities, raise awareness of social issues, and inspire young Aussies to live more sustainably, healthily, actively, and adventurously.
The possibilities are endless….
THERE’S NOT A SINGLE ECO-SYSTEM OR SPECIES
LEFT ON EARTH
THAT ISN’T AFFECTED BY MICROPLASTIC.
Did you know that each of us ingests enough microplastic through the food, water, and air we breathe to equal a credit card?* Every single week.
Did you also know that any piece of plastic smaller than a credit card doesn’t actually get recycled?
This includes plastic bottle lids.
So, even if you put your lid back on your bottle before you put it in your recycling bin, it may still end up in landfill.
The problem is endless…
Now, think of the millions of plastic water bottles recycled in Australia every week.
We’ve all seen the devastation small plastic waste is causing our planet.
No ecosystem, body of water, or species is left on earth that isn’t affected by microplastic.

WE LOVE THE PLANET
JUST AS MUCH AS
WE LOVE SKATEBOARDING
We love the planet just as much as we love skateboarding…
So, we’ve devised an innovative way to close the loop on small plastic waste by repurposing millions of plastic bottle lids into premium recycled plastic products, starting with skateboard decks.
The benefits are endless…
We will begin by producing unique wall-mounted display decks featuring a range of limited edition photographic series by Macca and exclusive decorative artwork by local Australian artists.
We will also produce Australian-made rideable cruiser decks while developing other board models in different styles and shapes.
The majority of skateboard decks are currently made of Canadian Hard Rock Maple, of which there is now a worldwide shortage.
There are few alternatives for virgin timber decks, and most of these options are very low volume and either made from other virgin materials and, therefore, rendered a non-recyclable end-of-life product.
Not only is our sustainable solution Australian-made from 100% recyclable small plastic waste, but our skateboard decks are also 100% recyclable and available in a wide range of colours and designs.
This means that our decks are not end-of-life products. When a deck is broken or worn out, it can simply be returned to us, shredded down, and remade into another deck or product.
Another advantage of our high-quality, sustainable skateboards is that they aren’t susceptible to the same weathering as traditional timber decks that can delaminate due to heat or moisture exposure.
So, in addition to preventing tonnes of small plastic from going to landfills and creating cleaner oceans, we’re also saving thousands of slow-growing Canadian Maple trees and contributing to the circular economy.
Inspiring young Aussies to live a more
healthy, active,
sustainable and adventurous lifestyle
The possibilities are endless…
Our social enterprise has partnered with Lids4Kids Australia, a national environment charity founded by Tim in 2019 that has inspired tens of thousands of volunteers to rescue and recycle over 117 million plastic bottle lids (preventing over 280 tonnes of small plastic waste from going to landfill).
We want to take this award-winning initiative to the next level by building a global community and movement behind a high-impact brand that represents quality, sustainability and innovation.
We also want to inspire young Aussies to help rescue small plastic and live healthier, more active, and more adventurous lifestyles.
Our social enterprise will have a robust ethical focus. We will employ people with disabilities, donate profits, and raise awareness of social issues by working with local charities to support disadvantaged youth, mental health, people with disabilities, and Indigenous communities.
We also want to inspire young Aussies to help rescue small plastic and live healthier, more active, and more adventurous lifestyles.
We need YOUR HELP to keep our project in Australia and to help the next generation skate sustainably.
